Louise Teinelund

My name is Louise Teinelund, and I live with my family in Insjön, with the mushroom forest and fairy-tale meadow right outside my door. On early mornings, I love putting on my rubber boots and wandering straight into nature with my camera in hand. Gloomy and gray November days are one of my favorite kinds of weather to photograph in. I am drawn to the poetic aspects of nature—withered leaves, bare branches, and water droplets in puddles. To me, melancholy and wistfulness translate beautifully into images.

Photopoetry is a genre that has truly captivated me.

And what is photopoetry?

It is an artistic form of expression that allows for great freedom. Imagine a poem, but in visual form—that’s how I like to describe it.

Here, the emotion and expression in an image are created differently. Grainy, blurry, and out-of-focus photos are one way. Personally, I feel an immense sense of freedom and joy in expressing myself this way.

I have been photographing since around 2017, and my love for photography just keeps growing.
