LEIF LISS

Leif Liss

My name is Leif Liss, and I am now retired, living in the countryside just outside Falun with my wife, Elsa.

My passion for photography began in the 1970s when I started capturing landscapes during mountain hikes with a close friend. Over the years, my interest and skills have evolved, and today, I focus on photographing a wide variety of subjects in nature, including mammals, birds, plants, butterflies, and insects.

When I venture into the wilderness with my camera to capture wildlife, I find the greatest joy in solitude. On occasion, I use a hide when the situation calls for it, ensuring I can observe and photograph animals in their natural habitat without disturbance.

Photography allows me to connect with nature in a profound way, and I am always seeking new opportunities to explore and document the beauty of the natural world.
